That uterine tumors in women can be found anywhere in the uterus and have different names depending on where they are found.

  1. Intramural fibroids  are uterine muscle cells that grow in the wrong places, forming tumors of various sizes that are embedded within the uterine muscle. They are the most common type of tumor.
  2. Subserosal fibroids  are tumors that grow and push out onto the outside surface of the uterus.
  3. Submucosal fibroids  are tumors that grow in size and push into the uterine cavity.
  4. Stalked uterine fibroids  , in which the tumor may push out of the uterus or into the uterine cavity. The tumor is attached to the uterus by a small stalk (Intracavitary fibroid).

The location of uterine tumors can be roughly divided into 5 locations: outside the uterus, in the uterine muscle, inside the uterine cavity, and at the cervix and inside the uterus. The most dangerous location!! is inside the uterus because it can cause heavy bleeding. On the other hand, ectopic tumors are also the least dangerous.

Risk of uterine tumors, is one of them you?

Important warning symptoms that you shouldn’t ignore. Symptoms of uterine tumors are easy to notice as follows:

Abnormally heavy menstruation

Heavy periods, or they come on time every cycle but are heavier than usual, for example, they come for 3 days but increase to 5 days, or they used to use only 3 sanitary pads but then they turn into 5, or they never had blood clots but recently they start to have a lot of blood clots, or they have more pain than usual during menstruation to the point of having to take medicine. These symptoms are signs of uterine tumors.

    • Frequent urination

Or even symptoms of leaking ducts, having to urinate infrequently. Another warning sign that you need to be careful of. If the tumor is large, it may press on the bladder, causing frequent urination, or some people may not be able to urinate at all.

    • Pain and soreness during intercourse

It is possible that the tumor is protruding into the vagina or is a tumor in the cervix.

    • constipation

Because the tumor presses on the rectum. The tumor may continue to grow until it squeezes or presses on organs in the back of the abdomen.

    • Bloating

Large tumors can cause discomfort, abdominal fullness, abdominal swelling, or abdominal distension in the lower abdomen or pelvis.

    • Infertility or miscarriage

Tumors that grow into the uterine cavity can block the fallopian tubes and prevent embryo implantation.
